As configurações do lazer na cidade do Salvador e suas relações com a constituição da Universidade Federal da Bahia / The configurations of the leisure in the city of Salvador and its relationship with the constitution of the Federal University of Bahia

O trabalho tem como questão central: Quais as relações entre a construção da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA) e a fruição das vivências e ações no lazer soteropolitanos, no período entre 1945 e 1955? Objetivou-se investigar o processo histórico de constituição do lazer, em Salvador no período citado, especificamente a partir da formação da UFBA, bem como, perceber a repercussão dessa instituição, através das suas ações, com a organização do fenômeno lazer na cidade. Metodologicamente optamos por uma revisão de literatura que dialogasse com o contexto se utilizando de fontes históricas, jornais e revistas de época, notadamente o jornal A Tarde. Como conclusão, entendemos que houve uma interface entre a construção da UFBA e a produção, incorporação de novas formas de lazer pela cidade.

The work has as central question: What are the relations between the construction of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and enjoyment of experiences and actions in soteropolitanos leisure, in the period between 1945 and 1955? This study aimed to investigate the historical process of formation of leisure in Salvador, in cited period, specifically from the formation of the UFBA, and realize the impact of this institution , through its actions, the organization of leisure phenomenon in the city. Methodologically opted for a literature review that could dialogue with the context using historical sources, newspapers and magazines of the time, notably the newspaper A Tarde. In conclusion, we believe that there was an interface between the construction of the UFBA and production, incorporating new forms of recreation for the city.

Compreensões sobre o lazer: uma análise do Programa Esporte e Lazer da Cidade em Minas Gerais / Understandings about leisure: an analysus of the Programa Esporte e Lazer da Cidade in Minas Gerais

O presente estudo investiga o Programa Esporte e Lazer da Cidade (PELC), organizado pela Secretaria Nacional de Desenvolvimento de Esporte e de Lazer do Ministério do Esporte, Governo Federal. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisaras concepções e compreensões sobre o lazer que aparecem nos documentos, em especial o Projeto Básico, por meio do qual as entidades mineiras buscaram a adesão ao PELC no ano de 2007. A metodologia adotada foi a análise documental de caráter qualitativo, entendida a partir da utilização da técnica da Análise do Conteúdo. Sobre os resultados da presente investigação, concluímos que a maioria dos projetos analisados está de acordo com o ideário do PELC, embora existam alguns que apresentam divergências teóricas e conceituais em relação ao Programa.

The present study investigation the Sport and Leisure Program of the City (PELC), organized by Development National Secretariat of the Sport and the Leisure, Sport Ministery, Federal Government. Our aim was to analyse the conceptions and comprehensions about the leisure that arises in the documents, in special the Basic Project, by means of which the Minas Gerais entities founded its adhesion into PELC in the year of 2007. The methodology we adopt the documental analysis of qualitative character, understanding from the uses of the contents analysis technics. About the results of this investigation, we find that most of the projects analyzed is consistent with the ideals of PELC, although there are some that present theoretical and conceptual differences in relation to the Program.

Uma história da relação entre saúde e educação física na educação brasileira / A history of the relationship between health and physical education in Brazilian education

As relações entre Medicina e Educação Física no Brasil datam do século XIX. Esta pesquisa vem analisar a influência do pensamento médico no desenvolvimento da Educação Física na principal instituição escolar brasileira da época, o Imperial Collegio de Pedro Segundo (CPII), fundado no Rio de Janeiro em 1837. Para a realização do estudo, documentos impressos sobre o CPII localizados no Arquivo Nacional do Rio de Janeiro foram coletados. A análise do material foi realizada de acordo com a metodologia da História Cultural. O resultado demonstra que médicos brasileiros elaboraram discursos e ações em favor da prática da atividade física como veículo de promoção da saúde, o que foi fundamental para a entrada da Educação Física no CPII e nas demais escolas brasileiras.

As the relations between Medicine and Physical Education in Brazil date back to the nineteenth century, this study aims to analyze the physicians' thinking leading to the development of physical education at the Imperial Collegio de Pedro Segundo - CPII (Imperial School of Pedro Segundo), the main school established in Rio de Janeiro in the year 1837. For that study, documents found at the Arquivo Nacional do Rio de Janeiro (National Archive in Rio de Janeiro) were studied. To approach that material it was used the methodology of the Cultural History. The results show that the Brazilian physicians had discourses and actions in favor of the practice of physical activity as a means to promote health, which was fundamental for the physical education to become a subject at the school above as well as at other Brazilian schools onwards.
